Project Description
This roundabout project replaces the existing two-way stop intersection at Highway 137 and Morrison Street with a roundabout, enhancing the capacity and safety of the intersection to reduce roadway impact due to surrounding developments. This project is within Caltrans right-of-way, requiring coordination with Caltrans, along with other stakeholders. The project consists of the grinding and overlay of existing HMA sections, new roadway sections, new curbs and gutters, and median islands to create the new roundabout. CCME is providing construction management, coordination for third-party communications, materials testing, and on-site inspection for construction activities, including but not limited to the installation of traffic control, painting, saw cutting, grinding existing sections, concrete pours, and hot mix asphalt placement and compaction.
Services Provided
Services include but are not limited to: constructability review, documentation of preconstruction conditions, weekly progress meetings and coordination, submittal management and review, RFI management, construction inspection, progress payment estimates, QA material testing oversight, change order negotiation and writing, and project closeout, including final acceptance.
